In order to unleash students' potential in vocal singing and enhance performance standards, the school choir participated in the Choir Clinic organized by the Hong Kong Inter-school Choral Festival (HKICF) on 22 December 2023 under the guidance of Dr. Andrew Hon. Dr. Hon holds a Master's degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Cincinnati and Yale School of Music, as well as a Doctoral degree in Choral Conducting from McGill University. He currently serves as the Music and Performing Arts Director at the Hong Kong Baptist University Affiliated School Wong Kam Fai Secondary and Primary School.
During the workshop, Dr. Hon instructed the choir on vocal techniques and on interpretation of the choral repertoire. The Choir greatly benefited from his expertise. We are grateful to Dr. Hon for his guidance and coaching.
