To understand local tourist spots, 18 of our students studying Tourism and Hospitality Studies went to Central and Sheung Wan for an on-site field trip on 29th July. In addition, they visited Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Shatin on 28th October. Citizenship and Social Development and Integrated Humanities jointly organised a visit to the Hong Kong Heritage Museum. S4 and S5 students were able to understand Chinese history, cultures and the development of local culture through exquisite relics and displays. Students visited the exhibitions “Dunhuang: Enchanting Tales for Millennium” and “Hong Kong Pop 60+”. Students were able to have a more thorough understanding of the exhibitions through reading the introduction of the displays, self-study materials, discussion with teachers about the history of The Silk Road, the inheritance of Buddhist belief, as well as the development of local pop culture and inheritance of Chinese cultures.Read More
