Meet The Masters: Ricky Yeung Sau Churk, Fanson Lam and Kong Hoi Kan, Thomas

Our school joined the Secondary School Art Development Lecture Series funded by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. We are honored to invite artists of different art media to the school to share and conduct workshops with Form 4 students.

Ricky Yeung Sau Churk

Ricky Yeung Sau Churk is an artist and art educator who conducts community arts projects for diverse audiences to cultivate an appreciation for the city of Hong Kong. Yeung’s works have been shown at the City University of Hong Kong, Fringe Club, Hong Kong Arts Centre, Hong Kong Museum of Arts, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre, Para Site, Sha Tin Town Hall, and the University of Hong Kong. He is the recipient of the 2007 Chief Executive's Award for Teaching Excellence (Arts Education).

Fanson Lam

Fanson Lam is a sculptor based in Hong Kong. He completed his Bachelors degree and Master program from the Academy of Visual Arts of HKBUfrom2009 to 2014. Fanson has been an apprentice of Mr. Liu, the one and only caster in Hong Kong. Thus he also knows about casting different materials like plaster, metals and resin. And as he has been teaching sculpting for over 8 years, including Secondary School and holing his own classes in his studio.

Kong Hoi Kan, Thomas

Kong Hoi Kan, Thomas received his BA in Visual Arts at Hong Kong Baptist University and MA in Cultural Management at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Kong now works full-time as a Chinese seal artist. Taking Han culture as blueprint and orienting at present-day human values, his practice manifests a notion of contemporary seal art. Kong’s works have been collected by corporate and individual collectors.
