Our school participated in the ""School Care Subsidy Scheme"" program organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), and a music performance was held at the Sun Chui Lutheran Centre for the Elderly on December 20. This is the first time our school participated in this program.
Students from the CCH Choir and School Band performed different Christmas songs for the elderly, played music games with them and presented them gifts. All participants enjoyed the experience of sharing joy and festive warmth. Our students also expressed their willingness to participate in more social service activities in future.
The “School Care Subsidy Scheme” (the Scheme) was first launched in 2009/10. The Scheme enables students to extend their care and good wishes to the beneficiaries of recognised target service units through music performances and to enhance social integration and harmony for the community. Participating groups not only gain experience in performing and serving the community, but also enrich the programme in a creative way, building team spirit and organisation skills from the production process.
